
The National College Innovators Launchpad (NCIL 2026) is an institutional venture initiative organized under the Design Innovation Centre (DIC), IIT(BHU), BHU and co-powered by Know Your Careers (KYC), recognized by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC), Govt. of India.
National Mandate: The Gandhi Jayanti Innovation Mission for Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
Cohort Schedule: October 2–4, 2026 | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Daily (Online — Build from Home).
Academic Continuity: 3-day evening sprint structure ensures zero disruption to regular classes.
Eligibility: Open to all UG, PG, and Ph.D. students across every stream and discipline.
Program Fee: ₹1,500 per student.
Registration Deadline: September 30, 2026.
The Pathway: 3-Day Bootcamp → Idea Validation → ₹1.5 Lakh Fellowship Cohort → Acceleration → National Finale at IIT (BHU).
Day 1 (Oct 2) | Problem Discovery & Pod Formation: Pinpoint real-world friction, run bottom-up TAM/SAM/SOM market sizing, form cross-stream teams (Tech + Business + Research), and design customer validation interviews.
Day 2 (Oct 3) | Rapid MVP & Venture Economics: Build working low-code/software/hardware prototypes, calculate CAC/LTV and unit economics, audit Indian unicorn case studies, and complete 1-on-1 sprint reviews with IIT/IIM founders.
Day 3 (Oct 4) | Pitch Engineering & Capital Access: Engineer a 10-slide investor-grade seed deck, map out early-stage fundraising and grant strategies, receive Track B Championship briefing, and earn official joint certification.
Timings: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Daily (Live Online).
Round 1 (Idea Submission): Submit problem validation, market metrics, and MVP schematics for independent technical evaluation by DIC, IIT(BHU), BHU.
Round 2 (Closed-Door Virtual Pitch): Deliver a 7-minute live venture pitch followed by a 5-minute technical defense before active founders and VCs.
Young Innovators Cohort: The top 10% of teams secure the ₹1.5 Lakh fellowship and a 3-month product-market fit incubator with legal, tech, and GTM advisory.
Round 3 (National Grand Finale): Advance to pitch on-stage before VCs, angel syndicates, and media at Bharat Innovation Utsav at IIT (BHU), Varanasi in December 2026.
Verified Digital Credential: To all the participants official joint certification by DIC, IIT(BHU), BHU & KYC optimized for ATS resumes and LinkedIn.
Institutional LOR: Merit-based Letter of Recommendation signed by DIC, IIT(BHU), BHU leadership for top performers
Fast-Track Internships: Direct, interview-exempt research internships at DIC, IIT(BHU), BHU or KYC partner startups.
Pan-India Incubation: Access to partner labs, fabrication suites, and co-working hubs nationwide through KYC Connect.
