Flagship Innovation Initiative: India's premier school entrepreneurship bootcamp and pitching championship co-created by Know Your Careers and the Design Innovation Centre (DIC), IIT (BHU), organized exclusively for the Sunbeam Group of Institutions, this time.
Eligibility & Seat Cap: Open to students of Classes 8 to 12 across all Sunbeam campuses, strictly limited to the first 80 registrations per school.
Phase 1 (Offline Bootcamp): A full-day immersive innovation and venture-building bootcamp led by Gen-Z founders from IITs & IIMs on 2nd November 2026 at Sunbeam English School, Bhagwanpur.
Phase 2 (Online Pitching): Pitch deck submission, refinement, and live evaluation rounds conducted virtually through the KYC Portal.
Phase 3 (Grand Finale @ BHU): Shortlisted finalists pitch live before investors, startup founders, and academic leaders at Banaras Hindu University in early December 2026.

Phase wise in details

Phase 1: In-Person Bootcamp (2nd November 2026 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

A full-day experiential workshop hosted at Sunbeam English School, Bhagwanpur for registered delegates across all Sunbeam campuses. Delivered live by Gen-Z founders from IITs & IIMs, this phase introduces design thinking, lean problem validation, business model frameworks, and high-impact pitch design. (Bus transportation is arranged from respective campuses by school SPOCs.)

Phase 2: Online Idea Submission & Virtual Pitching (November 2026)

Round 1 (Deck Submission): Teams/individuals submit their initial venture pitch decks through the KYC Portal by 6th November; results announced on 13th November.

Round 2 (Live Online Pitch): Qualifiers submit refined decks by 15th November and pitch live before an expert jury via virtual rooms (10 minutes per team: 5-minute pitch + 5-minute jury Q&A). Results announced on 21st November.

Phase 3: The Grand Finale @ Bharat Innovation Utsav (7th–8th December 2026, Tentative
Top Round-2 qualifiers pitch live before angel investors, venture capitalists, startup founders, and senior academic leaders at Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

Who is eligible to participate in KYC Idea Tank 2026?

Students of Classes 8 to 12 across all Sunbeam campuses are eligible to participate. Registrations are strictly capped at the first 80 students per school on a first-come, first-served basis.

Do I need to register as a team or as an individual?

Registrations are completed on an individual basis (₹1,200 per student). You will be grouped to collaborate, build, and pitch ideas alongside your peers during the Phase 1 bootcamp and subsequent rounds.

How do I register, and how can I pay the fee?

Online Mode (Recommended): Scan the official QR code or visit the KYC portal, complete the form, and pay ₹1,200 online to immediately unlock your Delegate ID Card and enter the Gen-Z Innovation Hamper draw. Your registration automatically syncs with your school SPOC. Offline Mode: Fill out the physical consent form from your school and submit it with the ₹1,200 fee directly to your branch Teacher SPOC. (Hostellers can coordinate directly via their SPOC.)

Where and when will the Phase 1 Bootcamp take place?

The in-person bootcamp will be held on 2nd November 2026 (full day) at Sunbeam English School, Bhagwanpur (the nodal hub for all branches). Direct bus transit to and from the venue is coordinated by your branch SPOC.

What if I do not have a startup idea right now?

You do not need a pre-existing idea. Phase 1 is a hands-on, mentor-led experiential sprint delivered by IIT and IIM Gen-Z founders specifically to help you brainstorm, identify real-world problems, and build validated business concepts from scratch.

How do Phase 2 (Online Pitching) and Phase 3 (Grand Finale) work?

Phase 2: Submit your team’s pitch deck via the KYC portal by 6th November. Qualifying teams advance to online virtual pitch rooms in mid-November for live evaluation.
